For every participant in our tours, we donate the cost of one meal to the organizations we support. Learn more.

Volunteering

Our volunteer activities include preparing and distributing food and/or other supplies, helping to clean spaces, and sponsoring animals.

Collections

We collect and donate clothing, food, and toys to charitable organizations in Porto and Lisbon.

Culture and Local Economy

Our daily tours allow our guests to discover and appreciate family-run businesses, local heritage, regional cuisine and crafts, and cultural practices that are at risk of disappearing.

Birthrate Support

We support family planning by providing a cash bonus for our employees’ newborns, promoting well-being and a healthy work-life balance.

Health

Charity Walks

We have participated in several charity walks, such as the Women’s Race and the World Cancer Day Walk.

Blood Donation

Everyone at Living Tours is encouraged to donate blood. This act of solidarity is rewarded with one extra day of vacation per year.

Inclusion

LGBTQ+

Living Tours actively promotes LGBTQ+ inclusion through a corporate culture focused on gender equality; it is also a member of IGLTA—The International LGBTQ+ Travel Association—and a partner of Porto Pride.

Young Talent

We promote the inclusion and development of young talent by bringing on academic interns. These are hands-on learning opportunities that are essential for future entry into the job market.

Environmental

Electric Fleet

We are committed to having a 100% electric fleet of tuk-tuks, with the goal of reducing carbon emissions, promoting more sustainable tours, and making every tourist experience more environmentally friendly.

Reforestation

We carry out reforestation projects, such as those in the Leiria Pine Forest and S. João de Loure (Aveiro), which regenerate ecosystems, enhance biodiversity, and reduce our environmental footprint.

Beach Cleanup

We organize beach cleanups, during which we collect hundreds of kilograms of trash, protecting marine ecosystems and helping to clean up coastal areas.

Sustainable Mobility

We promote sustainable mobility by encouraging the use of public transportation, bicycles, or walking. Even our choice of Campanhã as the location for our central services reflects this commitment.

Who we help

We also make one-time donations to causes such as aid for Ukraine, earthquake victims in Turkey, the floods in Valencia, and Storm Kristen in Portugal.
